Students
IAM students are learning to become professional website developers. They are provided with a curriculum and learning process that is balanced across all of the elements listed above, and they are required during each term of their studies to develop websites (their Term Projects) for real businesses according to the scale and demands of the projects. In these developments, students are expected to apply and demonstrate all of the skills they learn within their classes, from design to coding to programming to client interaction and project management. Upon graduation, they have completed 2-4 live client sites, and these become parts of the portfolios with which they graduate. At this level of IAM web development, both students and clients benefit: students receive a significant reduction in tuition, and clients receive high end and carefully guided development for costs far lower than market value. Clients are expected to make sacrifices in time and commitment that they might not normally have to make, but the final products and experiences are valuable and beneficial to both the students and to themselves.
