Web Development Guidlines
Project Management
Above all, good web design depends on communicative skills. Without the ability to talk with, understand, and develop a human rapport with people, good web developers will be largely unsuccessful in their trade. A good web developer is able to negotiate with, counsel, satisfy, and guide a client towards the development of a successful website. They are able to profile the needs and characteristics of a client accurately, and they are able to take that profile and communicate it clearly and effectively in their work. When a client ultimately receives his or her product, it should fit and function like a glove.
WHO--- Needless to say, these skills are both inherent and learned. People who are naturally good communicators have a major advantage over those who are not. However, the most important elements of project management and client interaction can and typically must be learned. This involves learning sets of procedures and concepts that enable developers to establish and follow a logical process of discovery, planning, goal definition, feedback, negotiation, and execution. Once again, capable Project Managers are highly training professionals who see the time spent in this process as critical to the success of the work that they do.
